Greetings from Colorful Colorado

Last week I spent a lot of time in Colorado. I spent most of my time in Denver but also stayed in Boulder for a night. I took the trip to spend time with family, but I did do some cool things I wanted to share if you are planning a trip.

Larimer Square

Larimer square is a super cute part of Denver. It has great places to eat, some famous chefs have restaurants here, and really cute boutiques. We spent a few hours walking around here shopping and eating.

The boutiques were so cute. Some of my favorites were out of my price range but there was a great one called Hailee Grace. They had an awesome selection of clothes, bathing suits and jewelry. They also had really cute shoes that were super reasonable.

We had lunch outside at Ted’s Montana Grill. I am pretty sure this is Ted Turner’s chain. It was delish, I recommend their margaritas.

Cherry Creek

Cherry Creek is on the cusp of Denver and also has great shopping and restaurants. We grabbed a drink on the rooftop of Del Frisco’s Grille and had great Italian food at Piatti’s. I know I have said this before, but I am always partial to Italian food in New York and New Jersey but Piatti’s is pretty good.

I feel like the answer to this question is no, right?

Another great restaurant on the cusp Cherry Creek is Jing. Jing is an upscale Asian restaurant. The menu has just about everything from sushi to pad Thai. The ambiance is really beautiful and the bar is great.

I have a couple of friends in Boulder who showed me around. The first thing we did when I got there was drive to the top of Flagstaff Mountain. I can’t hike that much because of leg injury but I was able to get to a really cool look out. I am glad my friend took me here, it was beautiful.

There are a bunch of breweries in Boulder. We went to Avery Brewing Company for dinner and beers. If you like beer and trying new types I definitely recommend this place. I had some really interesting beer. My friend ordered one that legit tasted like bubblegum, I thought it was super gross but I’m sure someone with more of a sweet tooth would like it. The food is also really good.

And finally Pearl Street is a great place to check out in Boulder. It’s kind of the center of town and full of stuff to do. There are great bars, restaurants, stores, and theaters. There is a section where there aren’t any cars allowed and it is just a great town center vibe. We went to Tahona Tequila Bistro for happy hour. If you love tequila as much as I do then this is the place for you.

Cute places to walk around with boutiques and tequila is really all I am after.
